What a special coffee session episode!! Stefan Krawcyzk from Stitch Fix joined Demetrios and I to discuss how their Data Platform team operates. Many of you will know Stefan from his great blog posts and talks at conferences like apply(). The guy is bonafide engineering g. We learned so much about the principles underpinning data science and platform at Stitch Fix and specifically about the Model Lifecycle subteam.

Model Lifecycle at Stitch Fix is charged with figuring out ways to make developing and deploying models easier for the full stack data scientists are famous for. We learned some great points around how timeline honesty is crucial for platform teams to really achieve success. We also talked about two very cool projects at Stitch Fix, Hamilton and Model Envelope, that show how data scientists can be unblocked in the pursuit of maximum impact.
